Obama Lies Again: US Soldiers on the Ground in Iraq

Last week, Obama told the American Legion that no US troops would be put on the ground in Iraq.  The problem is Obama had already put troops on the ground.  The Kurds who are the only faction of Iraq who actually loves America and Americans say that special forces commandos are fighting with them against ISIS.  The Kurds are ferocious fighters and have years of combat experience under their belts.  Their word can be trusted.




With a second beheading, Obama will have to decide whether to escalate the offensive against ISIS.  The funny thing is that Obama didn’t lie to keep it hidden from republicans.  He lied to keep it from liberals.  They are against sending troops for any reason.  Let’s face it, liberal politicians identify with terrorists better than they do with republicans.  Putting elite troops on the ground is probably a good idea but one that the liberal wing of the democratic party would not accept.
Speaking to the American Legion, Obama said:

“I will not allow the United States to be dragged back into another ground war in Iraq,’ he said, adding later that ‘the answer’ to ISIS ‘is not to send in large-scale military deployments that overstretch our military.”

He parsed his words carefully.  He left himself a loophole as big as a few platoons to crawl through.  Again not because of our side but because of his own side.The Kurds of Northern Iraq are fighting back against ISIS as we speak and have regained a lot of ground ISIS took previously.
