Is Barack Obama Planning to Sabotage Donald Trump?

The Organizing for Action (OFA) is run in part by Barack Obama and by many of his main supporters (La República).

“When former President Barack Obama said he was ‘heartened’ by anti-Trump protests, he was sending a message of approval to his troops.
Troops? Yes, Obama has an army of agitators — numbering more than 30,000 — who will fight his Republican successor at every turn of his historic presidency. And Obama will command them from a bunker less than two miles from the White House.”
This according to Paul Sperry in his opinion column published Friday in The New York Post.
Sperry considers former President Obama’s actions “very unusual,” since the Democrat will not only remain in Washington for two years, but is also working “behind the scenes to establish what will be a shadow government” to sabotage the Trump administration.



According to the journalist, “(Obama) is doing it through a network of leftist nongovernmental organizations led by Organizing for Action.” Sperry also added that more than 250 offices are being prepared across the United States to battle the new government.
Sperry wrote that the “well-funded protest branch” has recruited young leftist activists with an ideology of “not backing down” — a phrase that appears on the organization’s website. Additioanlly, he pointed out that former President Obama is linked to the organization’s operations, even having given orders to organize marches after Trump’s election last November.
These marches were organized in different cities across the United States, some of which ended in riots. Many of these demonstrations also took place after Donald Trump signed an executive order temporarily blocking the entry of citizens of seven Muslim-majority countries to the United States, when protesters blocked access to airports, singing: “No prohibition, no wall, a sanctuary for all!”
OFA is described as an organization that trains young activists to develop “organizational skills.” It’s led by former Obama supporters as well as some of his campaign collaborators. It currently counts on more than 32,525 volunteers across the United States who, due to their legal registration, are not required to disclose their donors.
Sperry described them as “very generous” because OFA has raised about US $40 million in contributions and donations since it became an organization in 2013.
“The 55-year-old Obama is not content to go quietly into the night like other ex-presidents” the journalist concluded.
